solid compression in 7z

I have tried compressing several large files (.ISOs) that are similar with 'solid' packing.
trouble is, dictionary size cannot be set to be larger than filesize because of lack of RAM.
is there a way to configure the 7z so that dictionary window does not 'move' at the end of file when using solid packing?

is there any better archiver for this?

(if the files are split into segments smaller than dictionary size, compression rate is ok. but I'd like to avoid splitting.)

ISO's are generally not very good subjects for compression. 7-zip is one of the better tools. I doubt you will get much more for your efforts.

Make a larger swap file to compensate for the lack of ram.
