Software to use fill in pdf forms
I have a fill in and print form (similar to US Federal tax forms) which allows me to complete the form and then print a hard copy (or to a static pdf using a pdf printer.) The form is obviously designed to be used with the Adobe pdf reader although it will not print using Acrobat reader 10 on a Win 7 virtual machine - way to go Adobe and Microsloth. I can fill in and save the form using Foxit reader on XP (even though the forms are not supposed to be saved with data.)
So the question is... is there any software for Linux which will allow these forms to be filled in and printed? I have tried Evince, PDFedit and Okular. No luck. My web search has found several discussions of converting the pdf to some other sort of file then entering the data and converting back to a pdf, overlaying text on an image of the pdf, etc. Not what I am looking for. I just want to fill the darned form and print it.
