Hello friends. I'm really pissed, cause I've been looking everywhere for solution but no luck.
So here's my problem: Software Manager is not launching anymore. Asking for the password and then nothing.
Synaptic Package Manager is not working either. It's showing this error:
E: Could not open file /var/lib/dpkg/status - open (2: No such file or directory)
E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.
E: _cache->open() failed, please report.

Can someone help? I can't install anything anymore even .deb files won't open.
