Software for capturing video

Hi! I have a tv card, and I use for watching tv, the program tv-time.
But I was wondering if there's any software for capturing video. Does it exist? I'm sure it does, but I don't know which one, or how to configure it (I'm using FC6).

Could you help me on this?

Thank you!

There are a few programs for doing this. Most of these programs for FC6 are either in the Extras repository (pre-configured) or the Livna repository (install the livna-release-6.rpm if you haven't already set-up Livna). You can then install the software you need with yum. For example:

yum install mencoder ffmpeg
