snmpget error

aaarrggg....

Am trying to use snmpget in a script to query information from routers across a network and i need to use snmpget. So i download it and compile it successfully and even install it well.

Problem comes in when i run the program (snmpget) and it spews this error

Code:

snmpget -c snmpget: error while loading shared libraries: libnetsnmp.so.15: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Doing a locate snmpget i find that the shared library does exist and when i try to to create a link to the library it tells me that the file already exists.

Any help please???

I figured out the issue, i forgot to export the path: export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/usr/local/lib

I dunno why i have to do this yet in my configure i had set the shared libraries paths right.

I also faced the same issue.

I copied the file libnetsnmp.so.15 from /usr/local/lib to /usr/lib/ and it started working well.
