SMTP Should stand for Stupid Mail Transfer Protocol
I'm not really mad at SMTP, but all the retarded programs out there that use it: sendmail, postfix, qmail, James...
For real, does it have to be THAT HARD? All that I want is: Have an email server SMTP/POP3 so that I and my customers can send and recieve email. My server handes multiple domains, and I want to be able to do mail_useradd username@domain1.com password mail_useradd username@domain34234.org password And I don't want to read retarded mc and cf files generated by sendmail, or countless terabytes of "easy to use (my ass)" documentation provided by postifx or qmail... And I don't want my email accounts to be my linux accounts. Isn't there a non-commercial server that does that? It's just that I tried using like 4 different books on sendmail, postfix, and general email already, and I am still failing to make any progress.. And for a record - I am not a retard who doesn't know how to use cd and ls. I had NO PROBLEM whatsoever setting up my http/s server, with JSP support, my FTP server, mySql db, and FTP... All of that took me a few hours... But I already killed two fucking days and I can get stupid email to work... Can someone recommend an easier solution to email? Thanks (BTW I am running on fedora core 1) |
