Smoothwall w/identical NIC's

I'm trying to get smoothwall working. I have two identical NIC's installed and the Docs say i need to pass an argument to the kernel
example. "ne io=0x300,0x320 irq=10,11

I've checked mt logs and found my two NIC's at 0x1000 and 0x1400
and im going to use irq 11 and 12
i guess the "ne" refers to the driver.
my NIC's use the tulip driver

so what do I say when, and where?

thanks alot

I've never had to do that..
I suspect if the card isn't recognised you may have to..

The last time I had a problem with cards,
I started with the first card in the 1st pci slot, did the install with RED as the modem, shutdown,
added the next card to the 2nd pci slot and ran the setup programme again, made the 2nd card RED, shutdown,
added the 3rd card to the 3rd pci slot and in setup made it ORANGE.

But that was a difficult motherboard, v old BIOS.
