smbmount problem with filenames from multiple codepages
Using Debian Etch, smbclient and smbfs verison 3.0.23c-1.

I'm getting myself into a quite tricky situation.

I'm trying to mount a shared folder from an XP box. In that folder there's a lot of files with Chinese filenames.
I mounted the share folder with iocharset=utf8 codepage=cp950.
If a filename is all Traditional Chinese then I was OK

Now the problem is, some of the files have a mixture of Traditional and Simplified Chinese characters in there.
So the result is, the Traditional Chinese characters showed up OK, but the Simplified Chinese characters becomes question marks "?"s.

Tried codepage=cp936 / utf8, resulted in all garbage characters for all filenames.

Anyone with similar experience with a mixture of codepages within a single filename?
I don't even know where to begin asking as Googling results in references for single codepage only. :newbie:

Many thanks :)
