Slow Scrolling Speed

I recently installed opensuse 10.2 on my machine. Since then the scrolling
speed of web pages and excel is very slow. I tried but couldn't resolve the problem. Kindly tell me if there is any way to fix the problem.

There is one thing I can think of: What kind of video card do you have? Have you installed the drivers for it?

Also, it might help if you tell us what you have tried so far, it could give us a clue of what the problem might be...

I didn't install any driver separately. All the hardware devices were automatically detected and installed at the time of installation. I tried to change desktop resolution and refresh rate but there is only one option : Desktop Resolution: 1280 X 1024, Refresh Rate: 60 Hertz.
