slow internet browsing

Hi all,

my internet browsing has become painfully slow. When I first installed Fedora 1 it used to be super fast. Now it takes a long time (couple of seconds) to load up a page. Epiphany displays: loading xyz.com...for a couple of seconds before it starts transferring data. Is it a DNS problem? Regular downloads are very fast once it has connected (right click and click download...). I have seen this behavior in my earlier Redhat 9 also where it used to be very quick after the fresh install and then become slow. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

sorry for cross posting in the networking forum also...

thanks

Sanjeev

Apologising for cross-posting doesn't excuse you. Just don't do it.

I did it because I wasn't too sure if the problem was the network or the browser. Atleast I apologised. If you have nothing interesting to add maybe you should keep your mouth shut. I thought this forum was about helping other linux newbies. You don't have to be so harsh. It is arrogant pompous people like you that keep people from moving from windows to linux. If you are such an expert, maybe you could give me some tips to solve my problem?

Well a moderator or someone else was going to come along and tell you anyway. They always do. Maybe you should read the rules or keep your mouth shut. Btw, I answered you in the other forum.
