sliding the screen over (xvidtune)

normally with other distros like suse, redhat, or even mandrake i can at least get the correct modelines (you see my monitor is a rebuilt nec xv 15--) and enter them into the modelines in /etc/X11/xf86config but...

with slackware xf86config file has no place already written in. i looked at the man xf86config page and it was a little vague...

my question is this... i would have to write my own line... how would i write this?

here are my mode lines as returned by xvidtune

Vendor: , Model:
Num hsync: 1, Num vsync: 1
hsync range 0: 31.50 - 37.90
vsync range 0: 50.00 - 90.00
"800x600" 40.00 800 872 1000 1056 600 601 605 628 +hsync +vsync

any help would be greatly appreciated as i am trying to migrate toward slackware
