Slackware, OpenVPN and Mullvad

I'm trying to use VPN service with Mullvad using openvpn. Now the service supplies me with config files, but when I use them I receive the following error:

Code:
Sun Mar 25 13:59:09 2012 /etc/openvpn/update-resolv-conf tun0 1500 1542 10.8.0.170 10.8.0.169 init
Sun Mar 25 13:59:09 2012 script failed: could not execute external program
Sun Mar 25 13:59:09 2012 Exiting
The config files can be found at http://mullvad.net/en/openvpn_conf.php?id=800367383273
(As an FYI that customer ID is a newly generated one. Nothing special - not tied to anyone.)

Additionally I've been told that update-resolv-conf is Debian based so that maybe why I'm receiving this error. How do I resolve it?

p.s
Using Slackware 13.37

Regards,

Lightbulb Solution *FIXED*

Thanks for the reply. No, update-resolv-conf does not exist on Slackware. However, I did find a fix. I'd like to know if I've done anything unnecessary.

Code:
chmod +x /etc/rc.d/rc.bind ; $_ start ; echo nameserver 127.0.0.1 > /etc/resolv.conf
I'd like to thank rob0 from ##Slackware and #openvpn for the above code. I then proceeded to remove the following lines from the provided mullvad.conf file.

Code:
# Parses DHCP options from openvpn to update resolv.conf
#up /etc/openvpn/update-resolv-conf
#down /etc/openvpn/update-resolv-conf
I hope this helps anyone suffering similar issues. If anyone can provide additional information which would help shed light on what is going on, that would be greatly appreciated.
