First of all, what size is this key? Does the computer you plan to use to boot from allow booting from usb devices? Are you trying to put an entire image of Slackware on the key?

You can't really have a viable system beyond CLI with that key. As for putting some form of Slackware on there, try using Slax.

You can use DSL (Damn Small Linux)

It's just 50MB DSL 1.4 is awesome and it will work providing your BIOS allows boot from usb.
