Did you ever figure out what the problem was? I just started having the same problem yesterday!!! I have a Blue Yeti USB microphone with headset jack (so it comes across as an entire sound card) that used to work perfectly. I changed the USB cable but even with the original one I'm having this issue where my voice sounds lowered, slowed down, really
psycho!
If record myself locally (with mhWaveEdit) I sound perfect; and the sound coming through from the Skype Echo Test announcer is fine; but when the Echo Test replays my voice it sounds
psycho.
I've done some work lately getting automount and digiKam (and kipi plugins) to work. I don't expect that would have any effect but I did add the oxygen-icons package for KDE and the sane package for acquiring images from scanners.
Please tell me there's a simple fix to this issue; or that it's a problem at Skype's end there's nothing for me to do!
Thanks,
