Simple app to record video?

Greetings All,

What're your thoughts on the best app to record video input from a tv card?
I've got a card that uses the saa7130 module, and it works fine in tvtime and kdetv for viewing tv. But I want to record it.
Video is from /dev/video0 and sound is from Line In on my sound card.

I've tried xawtv and vlc, and I can't get either to see the channel my VCR's putting out on. MythTV seems far too complex for my needs.
I don't need any fancy features like teletext or a web interface.. I just need a nice simple app that I can select the channel and hit record.

I'd rather it had a graphical interface so I can see what's going on.
Any thoughts?

MythTV may seem 'far too complex' but it is only as complex as you want it to be. Doing a quick googlel and all roads always come back to using MythTV. There's also Freevo which is another easy to use app very much like MythTV. Here are two links to what appear to be smaller, easier to use GNU/Linux apps: Pierrox & DVR 3.2 I hope you find them useful.
