silly 'smart-tags' in yahoo on mozilla

Why are there all these new silly 'tags' in my Yahoo mail on Mozilla?
They started before I upgraded to 2.0, but I can't find how to get rid of them.

Ideally when I send a message I don't want the recipient to be bombarded either!

For example, my friends name is Courtenay. Her name is now a link to a map. Is that stupid or what? It must be yahoo maps that is doing it right?

I don't mind the ability to ask. All is good with quick connectivity

And I really like the new features of Mozilla Add-ons.
But what about a take off?
Eh?
