Short question about wine
Hi,
i just installed wine.. and i have on my other partition windows 2003... now i read a tutorial about windows programs and wine.. they told to just mount my ntfs partition and use wine on it (so /mnt/windows is the c: on wine) when i tried to run some programs like adobe photoshop CS , dreamweaver etc... it said some errors with the biggest error of al could not write... so my question is, if i can manige my windows XP install under fat32.. will i be able to run those applications? or will they still crash...? the main question of this is for macromedia: dreamweaver mx 2005, Flash mx 2005, fireworks mx 2005 Adobe: Photoshop CS (8.0), ImageReady CS (8.0) Emule, Halflife 2: CounterStrike source (with Steam App) those are all the programs that i need on my computer (Counter-Strike Source is not really needed but preferred the other programs is what i really need since my job is Graphic Designer) Can anybody help me out? Regards, Fatum |
wine is simply a layer of dll's and other files that are included in windows that windows apps need to run. I use wine and i do not put it on a NTFS partition, i have never heard that. Remember that wine will not run all or even most programs, especialy the more complicated ones like video games.
