Networking GURUs UNITE!! pLeAsE HeLp!??
I have installed Win4Lin, and I am using the vnet protocol to do networking for my Windows 98 installation. If I have shorewall disabled, I can connect to the internet fine. But when I enable shorewall, I cannot connect to the internet through my Windows session, only through Linux via netscape.
I need some way to bypass the firewall for my virtual windows network driver. For instance, if my windows virtual network card address was 24.192.35.0, I need some way to tell shorewall to allow traffic to and from this address. I have tried configuring various settings in shorewall with no luck. If anyone could shed some light on this that would be great. Thanks, Danny |
I figured it out. Editing my rules file in /etc/shorewall allowed my adapter access to the internet.
