shell scripts in RT


i want to do somethin like execute a shell script in RTLinux environment ..Is it possible??

Also regarding mkfifio() if i want to create a fifo giving a relative path how s it done...

for instance i want to create a fifo in the same directory as my application resides
mkfifo("fifoname","0666") is actually creatin it in the / partition.
how can this be done??
