sh setup.sh install problem
 

hello everyone,

i have a samsung ml-1210 printer and was trying to install the linux driver downloaded from the samsung website. after unzipped the tar ball, everything was in the directory "image". the readme file told me to install the setup.sh file.

i tried both "sh setup.sh" and ". setup.sh" but kept getting this message:


setup.sh: line 260 : 2260 Segmentation fault "$setup" "$@" 2>>$NULL
the setup program seems to failed on x86/glibc-2.1

i'm using both kernel 2.4.27-686 and 2.6.8-686 with debian sarge. does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? i searched the debian packages and installed libg++2.8.1.3-glibc2.2 (the only thing that seems to have something to do with "glibc-2.1" but it didn't help. should i get version 2.1 instead? but where and how?
