sftp and scp problems on kernel 2.6.5-1.358(fedora core 2)
Hi All,
I have an application that captures packets and does a bit of processing on it. For TCP based transfers(sftp or scp), on a 2.4.18-3 kernel( redhat 7.3 machine) I have no problem in transfering the files. But on kernel 2.6.5-1.358(fedora core 2), if it is scp the transfer stalls. If I am doing sftp from a redhat 7.3 machine to the fedora machine the msg on redhat machine just says "Fetching <filename> into <filename>" and nothing happens.
--I am capturing packets on port 22 and 21 with iptables rules added.
--I observed that nothing is being put onto the network from fedora machine
--I tried increasing tcp send and rcv buffer, window size
--I am printing the packets at IP layer where nothing happens so i infered it must be a
problem related to some layer above(transport or application)
again, this problem is with fedora core 2 machine only(that acts as a source of file transfer)
could anyone pleasse help me?
thanks
regards
Nikhil
