Setup Spam assasin with postfix
 

So where do i start i have postfix working perfect on my computer and also have spam assasin

but still getting spam do i have to configure spam assasin to pick up emails that are spam and if so how?

Use www.google.com/linux to research spamassassin (one word). There are a variety of howtos, setup tutorials, etc., to read through to get them working together.
