Question Setup requires an X display to run?

I am trying to install the demo version of crossover office. I type sh (nameoffile).sh and it starts uncompressing then i get

Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified

Setup requires an X display to run. There is a display variable set, however you have no permissions to access the X server (:0.0) it points to.

I'm still very new so this means "it didn't work" to me. PLEASE HELP

You DON'T want to install it as root. Just be your normal user,
run X and install from there.
