Setting up Dual Boot with Linux already installed

Ok, my current setup is Ubuntu on my master drive and my slave is partitioned as a backup. Now I want to install Windows XP on my slave drive and set up a dual boot computer. After trying out wine and cedega, I'm convinced I need to keep Windows around until game support for Linux is rise. Anywho, I have Grub installed on my master drive. I'm afraid that if I just install Windows to the slave drive that it will wipeout Grub from the MBR and make my master drive unbootable. Is there a HOWTO or a tutorial I can read that tells me the things to watch out for when attempting this. I heard Windows doesn't like to play nice with others on machines. Thanks for anything guys!

I would unplug your first drive, install windows XP, and then modify your grub config file to chainload xp from the second hard disk. Modifying grub to boot XP from the second hard drive should be all over google...

There are at least 3 ways of doing this:
Physically swap the drives
Use the remapping commands in grub
changing bios settings to change the boot order

Here is a post by the "bootmeister"--you may not want to do what he did, but it has a lot of good hints......
