Setting up a mail server to scan mails

Hi,

My first post here. I am sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.. but here goes.

I am trying to set up my mail server so that it will scan mail for one of my domains on a windows server.

When people send a mail to the domain on the windows server, I am trying to get it to route to the linux mail server where it will be scanned for viruses before it is sent on its way to the windows server and delivered to the user.

Is there any FAQ out there that can help me with this ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

i don't think i can help you out the the forwarding it onto your windows server, but i've setup a how-to make, install and configure a e-mail server with a virus scanner on fedora core 3.

just as another option if you can't get this idea working, you can setup your mail server on linux and still have the same username/password as you have on your windows domain. using winbind to authenticate against ADS.

i've got a how-to guide here

http://tlug.dnho.net/?q=node/159

there is also a script i'm working on that should make the joining linux to your domain simple as 1, 2, 3

http://tlug.dnho.net/?q=node/186

if you do decide to go this route, tell me how it goes, i'm looking for feed back on my scripts see if they have any problems will them.
