setting KCharSelect default table from command line?

I'd like to start KCharSelect, or some other utility, from the command line so that I can set the table it comes up with, e.g. "Arev Sans" table 34. I'd like to make this an application on my panel so I can quickly click it to have access to mathematical special characters. Is there a way to do this with KCharSelect, gucharmap, or something else? --help isn't any help for either. Thanks.
