seting up mail server on lampp (linux)


Hi all i need help seting up mail server for my php website i know my isp dosent require a username or pass to sent mail just req one to receve. can i bounce off their servers ?

http://ziggis-soft.dyndns.org =server 1

smtp.nbnet.nb.ca

If your servers IP address is in your ISPs block, then chances are you can send mail through them. If not, I would doubt it unless their server is an open relay which is highly unlikely.

To test, you could telnet from your server to your ISPs SMTP server and try sending an email. See here for a quick example.

yhea its is on my isp that is the smtp of their server but when i nun nuke php its saying e mail sent but no mail is actualy sent
is there a config file i have to set like a apachee conf file for the mail . Im thinkling that its refusint it because its not iditentifing itself propely ? makes sence ? sory for the typos

Sorry.. missed your reply from before..

You're using PHP Nuke? I have never used it, but I'm sure there is a configuration setting or file somewhere that you would have to set to your ISPs smtp server. Have you found or done this?

i have looked and its to complex i dont have time i 'l just switch to mambo its the king i will let you know if its better in the meen while the site z-soft.tk wil be moved to www.liquimedia.ca and www.liquimedia.com
