SETI errors?

I just came to run my seti, and found that it's consistently giving this error:
recv fd=4 n=-1, errno=104
Does anyone know what this is all about?

Cheers muchly,

Grant.

I haven't ever recieved an error on my linuxbox. But at work we have this guy who runs seti on the w2k boxes and every once in a while he has to "clear" the cache and basically start all over. It kills a few work units, but it clears up the error. Maybe you can do that somehow?

Cool

I get this error soemtimes when it can't connect to seti server. Just turn seti off and wait (10 minutes was always enough in my case).

Cheers guys. Since I'm on dialup I had to wait 'til today. Seti server seems to be fine again, so I'll continue crunching now. Soon I shall have broadband... going to live with my brother to do my teaching course and he has decreed that his house shall have broadband (he's the landlord)... yippee!

Woohoo! I hope you never have to go back to dialup :( I would probably stop using my computer all together if I had to give up my DSL. I think it's pretty slow as it is, I couldn't bare (bear?) using anything slower.

Cool

Yes, any DSL is much better than a dialup... :D

I know how it feels to go back to dialup. At Uni, where we had a very fast connection, I could download a complete 658Mb ISO image in about 45mins. Come back home, and I'd be luck to download 10Mb in 45mins! I found that, at Uni, the time consuming part of downloading and taking-home CD ISO images (on Zip) was the spanning over 3 disks, not the downloading! I will be living with my Bro for about 1 year (possibly 9 months, though). I shall definitely be getting some sort of broadband connection in my own right (location permitting) once I actually get a job and have a fixed abode of my own! I spend too much time on the internet to be constrained by 56k!
