Set Up 3D Acceleration

Can some1 give this newbie a step by step to settign up 3d acceleration on Redhat 9 for an Nvidia Geforce 2 MX. I installed Wolfenstein Enemy Territory but it won't start up, all i see is a screen flahs and then othing happens. I think its the 3d acceleration. If not help me out on whatever the problem is. THanks so much.

why the dual post?

do you currently have DRI enabled?
(can check with 'glxinfo | grep -i direct')

I'm surprised redhat doesn't support the gf2 right out the box though (if DRI is not on).
