set NON-fullscreen in winex


Ive got diablo 2 working !! but its real laggy, on a 2.5ghz, 512 ddr, radeon 9600....

I think / hope its because its emulated, and its in full screen. how do I set it to run within a window, using wine-x ?

I think you can change the screen-rez with CTRL+ALT+ Numberpad + and - keys...

you can make winex run in a window by editing the config file in the .transgaming folder, scrolling down to the x11drv section and uncommenting/adding the line "Desktop" = "800x600" (or whatever). You could also set "DXGrab" to "N" if you don't want your mouse pointer stuck in the window.

many thanks imek.

for anyone else that gets this problem with diablo 2, set your draw mode to 2d, as apposed to hal. it shouldent lag at all then.

2d looks a lot, lot better, too.
