Set environment


hi
can i use a script to set environment variable for my environment where i m working?
i created a script file and wrote

ORACLE_SID=prod; export ORACLE_SID
ORACLE_HOME=/opt/oracle/product/9.2.0; export ORACLE_HOMRE

it runs but it doesnt set the environment variables for my environment but if i run these on commant line then environment is set...kindly tell me SYNTEX for this

Did you add a #!/bin/sh or a #!/bin/bash at the first line of your script?

Also, notice there's a typo on the ORACLE_HOME line.
