Service Manager in Linux

Hi! I recently installed Mepis and Ubuntu. In Red Hat there is a feature where.I can browse all active services and disable them by a simple click. Is there a package in Ubuntu in Mepis so that I can do the same thing? Thanks,

If you are using Gnome its called Gnome System Monitor
KDE its called KDE System Guard.
Or you could check to see if htop is installed. It runs in a terminal.
