Server Stats App?

I have a few companies that I have created PopTop VPN Servers and Samba file servers. I administrate them using SSH of course.

I'm looking for a way to view statistics about these servers. I have seen a few that run over the web using Apache, but I don't know if I should install Apache on these servers just so I can see stats and usage.

Is there a command line app or a good way to get these details/stats/usage without Apache or is installing Apache okay to do? I would rather not use Apache since that can be a security flaw on the inside of a network and also add more resources to the server that it doesn't need.

I'm using Debian Sarge.

Might be a help if you could let us know what kind of stats you are wanting to view? Average load per hour/day, average connections per hour/day, memory usage per hour/day, etc.

Yes I'm looking for usage like you discribed. I want to see the memory usage, network usage, processor usage, just what ever usage I need to look at to see how the server load is for incase I need to upgrade something. Like if the processor is getting hit too much or if it is running out of ram or too much net traffic or anything else like that.
