Server Monitoring

Hello,

I'm looking for a free open-source software that would site on an ubuntu-server and alert me of any hardware failures or so - something for system hardware administration and that would not be complicated.

The server is a remote server.

Thanks in advance.

Take a look at Nagios. I find this to be excellent software and I use it across hundreds of items of hardware.

Thanks,

ben.
