Does anyone have a good reference on migrating a server to new hardware. I am trying to move a mandrake system to a new server. The server is running Postfix, Apache, ssh, mysql, nfs and has local users. I figure using rsync to move the data over is the best way but does anyone have any better ideas? Thanks
rsync works, just depends on how much data, type of network, etc. But in most cases, you have to copy the data and configs you use somehow, unless you want to back them all up to tape or cd, etc, rsync works just as well.
