Server Emailing Information

Hi,

I hope someone might know if this is possible.
I have setup a linux server on my home LAN. However, because my ADSL provider provides my router with a dynamic IP, I was wondering if there is a way of getting my linux server to email me the current IP address?

Any response gratefully appreciated.

I have no knowledge on that one, as I never tried that before, but I remember reading about that just recently here, so yes it is possible.

Does your router support DynDNS or another dynamic dns provider? If yes, then that is what I'd do, as you don't have to check your email to be able to connect to your server.
