Separate Konqueror web and file browser

You people who are using KDE have all probably seen it. Some of you might also love it?

The Konqueror is used as both file browser and web browser. I find this quite irritating actually. Especially when the taskbar gets full and the file manager windows and web browser windows gets grouped together. Another thing is when you click on a HTML file in the file manager, it will open up right there instead of opening up an external web browser window.

I think file managing and web browsing are two different things. Is there a setting to change this behaviour? I could obviously install another browser software (eg Opera), but I wanted to raise this question nevertheless.

Cheers

yeah...

I think their whole idea was to emulate windows explorer. and I agree, i hate all that cluttered mess that konqueror gives you. But I also think that Konqueror is the best File manager that exists for Linux right now... I miss it sometimes :(
