Hi there!
Just wanted to know if there is a sendmail option to allow direct delivery as well as using smtp host.
The problem:
Because you get a dynamic ip address with ADSL, sometimes the ip address you get has been forbidden by several mail servers because of spamming (from the person who had that ip address before you). So then you have to change the sendmail options so that sendmail now delivers mail to the smtp smarthost. It is tedious to keep on changing the settings in sendmail just because one out of 50 e-mails cannot be sent.
I need sendmail to deliver directly, and if that delivery fails, pass on the failed message to the smtp smarthost to deal with it.
Possible? Please let me know. You can mail me:

Thanks!
Kindest regards,
Skid
