sendmail message size

I am running RH9 with sendmail version 8.12.8. I am trying to limit the max size of messages that are allowed. Does anyone have any ideas or know how to do it, please let me know. Thanks!

Check your sendmail.cf file for a line that says, the number may be different..
Unhash this entry and set the size to the max size you need in bytes.
then restart sendmail

#O MaxMessageSize=1000000
