Sendmail load balancing and failover ?

How can I setup a Sendmail server pair/farm in order to achieve load balancing and failover function ?

Say, if I wish to deploy sendmail in a large corp (2000+ users), I don't possible expect a single sendmail server can do all the job, so, I'm thinking of a sendmail server pair (or farm).

But I'm not exactly sure on the detailed direction..., should I dig into :
1. linux clusters ?
2. sendmail settings ?
3. 3rd party solutions ?

Any help appreciated, thanks

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
