sendmail issue

Hi,

I 'm having an issue with sendmail. I 'm using Redhat 7.2 and sendmail version 8.11.6 -3. Now the sendmail services works perfectly. No issue with "telnet localhost 25 and 110".

The issue is, the sendmail server seems to want to re send multiple similiar mail that it received a any user to the recepient.

Meaning, some of my user seems to have been receiving email from the same send couple of times even after receiving it earlier to the point that the same e-mail is being received more than 5 times. The e-mails are the same e-mail from the same sender and are not spam e-mail and i 've filter out the fact of vireses and worms from the senders sides. not sure if anyone out there can help me.......

Thanks.

Hi..

Check the /var/log/maillog. Sendmail may not give problem. May be some virus problem.

Check the log for the duplicate mails . From which IP it came ..

Thanks

sendmail issue

hi,

sorry about those e-mails. I 'm not too sure which channel does my issue fits in.

I 've check my /var/log/maillog. Not too sure what to look out for. Besides...... one or two of my users are still receiving the same e-mail that was sent to them yesterday.

I 've erased my /var/spool/mqueue content yesterday and i 've restarted the sendmail daemon and the xinetd daemon.

Those e-mail keeps on coming back. So one this morning, when i check one of those user's mailbox.

I also did some checking yesterday to check to see if the sender was even connected to the net, the time when that e-mail was send. According to the sender, he has not been online for about 3 hours, despite the fact that the e-mail was forwarded to the recepient again and again three hours later.

please help......!!!! sorry for those trouble and thanks again.
