Sendmail Issue 2003 Aug 11
 

I have setup sendmail in FreeBSD for relaying incoming message to a Notes Server and the Notes server as an SMTP for sending message out.

However, due to the fact it is dfferent ips some company email system will not allows mail to be sent in which give out this error as their mail server cannot find the ip of the server who sent out since my MX record is set default to the FreeBSD server.

Error transferring to NASSSST.COM; SMTP Protocol Returned a Permanent Error 550 5.7.1 <eg@nassssT.com>... Relaying denied. IP name possibly forged [XXX.XXX.XX.XX]

Note: IP address and domain name not shown.

Thus, I would like to know how can I set the Sendmail Server to do both relaying to Notes Server and as a SMTP server for sending mail out instead of from the Notes server.

Would appreciate anything on Sendmail setting for above. Thanks
