Sendmail Configuration
 

I can send & receive mail through sendmail on a LAN, even I can send mail to outside LAN also but I cant not receive the mail to same id from outside LAN because I do not have a registered domain name, but I have a registered email id, now I want use that email id to send & receive my mail using my sendmail user profile, can any one help me to configure the same

What is a "registered email id"?

You can use your IP if you don't have a registered domain:
username@1.2.3.4

Should work, you'll have to let Sendmail know that you will be relaying through your IP though...

What exactly is a "registered email id"? are you referring to a mail ID like svsalain@linuxquestions.net?

i have email id which i got from my ISP, and the ISP is vsnl & my id is svsalian@vsnl.com, I have both smtp & pop server details with me

AFAIK you cannot receive mails for your vsnl.com ID on your system, if that is what you are trying to do. One work-around is to use a reply-to address and try the dyndns/no-ip stuff.

However you can send mails as svsalian@vsnl.com using your sendmail.
You can use a pop client to retrieve mails delivered to your vsnl account.
