I have SASL installed (whether or not it is pointing to the proper place, I have no idea), however, when starting sendmail I get the following error:
Warning: Option: AuthMechanisms requires SASL support (-DSASL)
Warning: Option: AuthOptions requires SASL support (-DSASL)
And it is really starting to wear me thin. All I want it to do is to be able to send email using the SMTP server (which requires authentication). I know it is something really simple that I'm not doing, however, even following the instructions on sendmail.org's website to the letter it is STILL not functioning the way I want.
I don't need incoming emails or anything else. I just need a server to authenicate against (or perhaps if someone knows of an open SMTP server that permits people to send mail through -- probably not the best, but it'll work if that's the only way to do it).
