Sendmail and Hostname Change

Can someone please tell me how to change my hostname from localhost.localhost and then what settings to change in sendmail for it to work properly again under the new hostname. Redhat 9.

Thanks In Advance

as long as you set it correctly in /etc/hosts sendmail will always resolve the local domain ok.

So how to I actually change my hostname, and what do it put in my hosts file?, it has this in it at the moment :

Quote:

127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost

Well I set my hostname with the "hostname -v" command and added this line to my /etc/hosts file but sendmail still doesn't work, it just won't start :

Quote:

192.168.123.109 Homeserver
