Gmail treats anything not coming from a reverse lookup DNS mail server as a second class citizen (and if enough emails come from said citizen they block it entirely from reaching anyone on their servers). Ultimately you must set up your mail server to reverse look up or configure your sendmail to use gmail for smtp.

using this command, I took away the e-mail address in the beginging

(echo From: Simple_1 ; echo Subject: Simple_1 ; echo To: Foodconnex ; tail /appl/ai/ai.log) | sendmail `cat /appl/ai/recipients-list`


and added the mail to my contacts so it would no longer go to spam
