Sendmail

Can someone give me something quick on basic sendmail usage (i.e. starting and stopping the server, viewing logs, adding users etc.)

For a start read the documentation at

http://www.sendmail.org/faq/

Then when you have specific questions, then come back with the details, especially the error messages.
