Sendmail's Return Address

How do I change the Return Address when sending e-mail using the "sendmail" command?

I want it so that when users press the REPLY button it puts a certain address in that field.

Thx in advance!

Well to my knowledge, its not a part of sendmail but part of the email client you do this from. You change your reply-to address there..

If i'm changing the reply address in the mail client, it must be sending a certain command to "sendmail". Right? I want to know what that command is. I'm programming a small dockapp e-mailer. And I have multiple e-mail addresses (School, Family, & business related). So I want to send e-mails from different addresses. I just want to know the basics of sendmail in order to program this thing easily.

The address that some one replies to *really* doesn't have anything to do with sendmail. Open up an e-mail some one has sent you with a text editor. You'll see that it has these fields which the mail client fills out. Sendmail reads some of the fields which its needs, but doesn't really care about the reply adress.

I'm using sendmail as a server that creats and sends e-mails, and not as a client. For example in PHP, you can set the headers for the e-mail where you can change the reply address. That is what I am trying to do!
