sending mail
 

I am using RH 8 and have sendmail installed. I have written a php script that sends mail, but I am afraid I have not opened the proper port for sendmail to send the email. Can someone help me out by letting me know what port(s) should be open for sendmail to work via php? Thanks in advance.

Mail is usually sent via port 25. It is unlikey that you need to open it on the box you are sending from as that is what is initiating the connection. You may need to open it on another firewall if your network uses one though.
