Send Mail server delays email download

We have just migrated to Linux and installed "Send mail" server. While downloading emails, it checks emails of all user account one by one : logs in, checks and downloads, logs out and then moves to next user a/c. This delays the download process.

Is there no way to instruct the server for Parallel log in for different users. When different PCs can log-in to the web server simultaneously. can't mail server check mails for various users simultanesouly which will curtail the time taken in finishing download for all users.

I could be mistaken but this doesn't sound at all like a Sendmail thing (and certainly not something called "Send mail") but some Fetchmail cronjob to get POPn email. Please be more specific what application or script is causing this and what package this is part of. And please fill in your CP data so we know what distro+release you're talking about.

It is Sendmail which has a tool "fetchmail" therein. Yes, to get POP3 mail. Running on Redhat latest version (9?).I will give more specific details on Monday.

Question regarding mail

We are using pop3=fetchmail
and smtp=sendmail
Main problem is , fetchmail is downloading mails from useraccounts one by one. That is very slow process. Is there any way to download them in parallel mode.
